Can someone point me to a website that has useful tutorials (with audio or text) for a Curvy3D newbie? I find the tutorials here not helpfull at all...

There are several simple tutorials in the documentation help file (UserGuide.chm).

eg: Reference/Tools/Widget Move Tool

as well as the basic creation tutorials:
eg: Tutorials/Lathe Objects

There's a lot of good info there - I hope it helps
