Creature Test

Post by Vanrailey »

Lathes: ~ 25 mins
Merge: ~ 7 secs
Sculpt: ~ 45 mins
Color: ~ 35 mins

The lathe and sculpt process took longer than the first one, not because I add detail or anything... But just because I was messing around trying to test various things out. So this isn't so much a model of something, but more of a test of functionality. My next model, I will be spending alot of time on making something truly worth wild.

Sweet :) I love the fast sketch in 3D style.

You can drag the resolution slider to increase the poly count of the unmerged objects to get a smoother (less faceted) merge.

Thanks for the tip Simon, and another model is on its way (but I'm putting more effort in this one). But just to say, after merging the meshes, I began sculpting in Z3 and then I re-imported back into Curvy. I never did subdivide. The polycount through merging with a "fine" setting was good enough to work with. Also, I didn't know that curvy could reach such a high poly count with such ease. I hit 900k+ on another test mesh ( wish I deleted because it was a doodle) without any lag. Nice job man.
