This is another work in progress sculpt showing the stages I went through to make a sci-fi man.
After a sketch on paper I loaded it in as a backdrop and made all the primitives by drawing the blue curves below.
Then I switched to the sculpting tools to roughen up the surfaces and add some details.
Finally I joined all the parts together and applied ambient occlusion to add the soft shadows.

i think this sort of sculpt marks another turning point in curvys development
as it is difficult to tell the difference between this and a hand sculptured
clay model. And the techniques used mirror in many ways the fun of "real" world sculpting.
Would be nice to 3d print this kind of figure.
