I just started using curvy and am trying to apply a bump map to a object. When I do the object turns all black. Any ideas what I am doing wrong.

I'm guessing if you go to the View menu and look near the bottom "Use Pixel Shader 3.0" will be turned off - this means your graphics card won't support bumpmaps in Curvy.
There is a chance you can get it working by turning off Shadows - in the same menu.
This often happens on computers like laptops with integrated graphics on the motherboard, rather than a dedicared graphics card.
