Teamed with UV Mapper this makes for the best...

...3D paint program if you want to side step hurting yourself with high-end poly modeler's texture, weight and projection mapping gauntlets.

From trial and error though, I know you need a good UV map before importing into Curvy with something that came from somewhere else and UV Mapper (freeware program) makes a decent map for Curvy if you unwrap spherically.

Here's the Blender render. For the life of me I couldn't get the bugger's eyes to show up and the '3D paint' bush cut out before I could figure out what I messed up.

And here it is rescued by UV Mapper and Curvy 1.6

And models native to Curvy are an even easier process to paint. Here's my teapot from the teapot tut.

Cute teapot :D Glad you hear you are getting on well with Curvy as a model painter too.

Yup and noticed that even in 1.6 the mesh conforms to bump mapping moreso realistically than just standard bump illusion.

Pretty awesome!
