Curvy Low poly meshes

Post by Falke88 »

Hey guys - I'm a real noob but really need some questions answered before buying this tool - I can't test it atm because I receive an error message (see other thread)

Questions:

Can I make good low Poly meshes like Swords etc with Curvy?
Like can I turn a high poly via a button to low poly?
So can I dynamically turn down the polygon count?

Can I make polys to triangulars? via button also?

Is it possible to export in (.dts) files? Or is it possible to add a plugin to Curvy to do so?

Well that was all - hopefully I can receive good answers!

Curvy is not a poly modeller - if you need really low poly models (less than 1000) you will be better off with something like Blender.

You can adjust the number of polies in a model inside Curvy using a slider, but they will loose a lot of detail at low levels.

However, by using external tools such as MeshLab you can make good game models with Curvy.

Curvy does nto have polies or tris - it converts to quads and tris when you export to OBJ.

Curvy does not support dts.
