Curvy3d Cyborg (V2 & V3 beta)

Post by gssev »

Started with the V2 demo and did the green organic bit, was impressed by the ease of being able to build a model so I ordered the full version and used the V3 beta to make the robot bits using the slab maker tool and some boolean subtraction.

I had been using high resolutions so the final object has 1.6 million polys in it!
Way too big for using in Carrara on my system so I reduced some bits using V3s tool but some I had to export and use meshlab and got it down to 200k polys. Imported into carrara8 selected separate mesh for each material which allowed me to split the imorted obj into the separated parts. Added some bones so I could pose with some shiney shaders of Carraras.

Still to add some details but very happy with Object and Curvy.

Light and model work very well together! Nice shading. Unique model.

Wow, the model is very cool - and really comes to life with those shaders and lighting in Carrara.
