Utilizing vectors sounds like fun. Right now I'm using the inflate to make waterfall objects from photoshop brushes. It works quite well.

Inflate from image
Heya Curvy gang. Long time no see. Thanks for the head's up email Simon!! Hope all is well with everyone here.
Something I would like to see, though I don't know if it's doable, is some refinement or expansion of Curvy's inflate from image capabilities.
Just a thought.
Best,
M

Ok...here's the scoop. I couldn't find the tool I used at the beginning of this thread. It's somewhere in this stack of hard drives I have. So....I used the demo of another tool. Needless to say there's a watermark on the output files. No big deal. I just wouldn't host it, Simon, as an official Curv...

My apologies for abscence....
Sorry I haven't been onboard lately...too involved in other projects both in real life and in 3d life. Strange how that happens eh?
I'm glad we have some new crew on board and good to see the feedback from sculptor, etc.
Will be more present now....

That is precisely the goal....taking the headache out of topology. Still, no one or no app has the Curve except for Curvy. Lathe modeling has many other applications besides the 'character modeling' that so many are wrapped up in these days. Now in that arena, 3dCoat is indeed special not only for s...

If you look down the list here on this page, you'll see a tutorial called 'CurvyTech'. That's how I do it. I make all my black/white/grayscale maps first. I use a tool called Texturemaker but any tool that can make basic vector type shapes will work.

Thanks Mr. Nemo. Duhhh........Senior moment lol... Since whatever I do is primarily for Vue, the next thing I would do is add a layer to the texture and black out distribution places so that in Vue, I can put lights and glows where I want. On another layer would be more detail bump and decals. The m...
