Transparency can be done in curvy 2 (option menu to select fog) and 3beta using the alpha slider and selecting fog and maybe glow. so each objects alpha/transparency can be controlled. you could probably use a gradient texture to give a better fading of light. Bryce 7 was free for ages but daz are c...

Here is a link to some free seamless textures (2048 x 2048) I made in Genetica 3. They have a bump/height map aswell that works good in curvy3d . I'll add more as I create them http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3765/8803720782_f3393783d1_q.jpg ts by gssev , on Flickr There should be a link to my seamles...

Thanks for the feedback. I have the basic version of genetica 3 which does great seamless textures so its ideal for a quick object texture which I could paint onto if needed. The UV relax is a great tool in curvy for texturing. I did have to UV relax again if I did any mesh adjustments. I'm goin to ...

A exercise for creature creation using Curvy 3 beta , Happy with the workflow and the textures are better. All done in Curvy3 beta, the head was the only bit that used v3s slab object everything else was lines and a good use of the mask feature for focusing on areas to adjust. http://farm8.staticfli...

Cheers, cant wait to try the new bump maps. Here's some pics of a reduced object from Curvey (12000 polys) and I converted the displacement map (curvey map ) to a normal map in Xnormal. One is rendered in carrara and the other I tested in iclone both with good results. Carrara render http://farm9.st...

Quadbot using curvy map
Playing about with Curvy map on this to see how much detail can be done. quite a lot and with bump on top of it it is quite effective . The poly count was high for export so I'll try and create a normal map in xnormal to go on a lower resolution. Added the ambient occlusion as well. http://farm6.sta...

Curvy3d Cyborg (V2 & V3 beta)
Started with the V2 demo and did the green organic bit, was impressed by the ease of being able to build a model so I ordered the full version and used the V3 beta to make the robot bits using the slab maker tool and some boolean subtraction. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7290/8741041531_c3112c167d....
