Laptops have issues with Curvy. It could possibly be your graphics card. Do you happen to have all the drivers for it and newest directx?

Images don't show Monsoon. Its because you are using \ when you need to be using /.

You could alternatively use Sliber. www.Sliber.com. Its a screen capturing program that I love and use all the time.
