That is obvious, I think: see the path in .mtl. BOTH slashes and backslashes and "." in the middle of the path. But I think it's trivial to fix, since it's fully white texture. AFAIK it means same as 0.475 specularity without a map. (See .mtl) However, that is probably something Simon *could* fix ea...

...and, for completeness sake, Daz Studio 4.6 Pro imported Curvy model with textures. My defaults are a bit funky, so the model didn't come in with correct rotation though. But that is probably due to my special setup, obj+mdd thingies. BTW, if you texture using lighting to change looks of the textu...

Did you actually render it in Carrara? I tried it in Carrara 8.5 Pro and it didn't show up in Assemble Room but it did show up in Texture Room and in final render. Also, Modo 701 shows texture. Maybe you need to check what you did; I used Curvy's UV tools first, painted with texture brush and checke...

I get textures otherwise OK from Curvy but specularity channel is always at max, so it needs to be set in other apps to suitable level. However, I prefer to UV and texture in other apps because Curvy's UV Unwrapping is not suitable to very subtle work. Curvy is very capable in sketching stage, but r...

Because Curvy doesn't (at least yet) have retopo tools, animation would be a bad idea. Joint deformation needs good edgeloops and they are not possible unless you have a way to convert lathes or sculpts (etc...) to correct topology. However, as a animation character sketching tool, Curvy works very ...

One image from animatic sketch, the real thing will be modelled and rendered soon, I hope. Everything originally done with Curvy 3 beta, modified and rendered in other sw.

A simple boat (Curvy 3D 3 beta)
http://koti.mbnet.fi/mmyllyma/paatti.png A simple boat from slab (copied and scaled multiple times) and three cylinders. I tried to get more details, but beta 3.1.3 is somewhat touchy now, so maybe it is better to wait next set of corrections first... :D However, using slabs with mesh mirror is a g...
