thanks for the list

a hotkey that i would find useful would be one to 'reset all views' as i seem to need that command a lot
when working in the perspective window

Hi, I'm just getting back into Curvy with v5, going through the manual and tutorials.

Are there any Shortcuts to quickly switch between more often used Tools? Like, B goes to Paint Mode - Paint Brush. But C does... something? I think with the masking? I'd half expected it to go to Curve Tools - Add Curve.

It would help the flow if I could switch from Add Curve to Simple Arc to T-Tool (Pull) to Local Rotate etc. quickly without leaving the Working Area/Viewport.

What would be really cool would be a context menu overlay, you know like the Pie Menus in Blender.

Finally I've found some hot keys that I think are not documented:
Ctrl-1: Front View
Ctrl-2: Left View
Ctrl-3: Perspective View
Ctrl-4: Quad View (four View Ports)

In the install folder there are two files:
Tools.csv - Set RotKey column to single character press
AppCmds.csv - Set Shortcut column to key or Crtl+Key, Shift+Key

If you can open these spreadsheets you can add or change hotkeys as needed.

I like the idea of a popup radial menu - I will look into that.

Awesome, thank you!

I've just tried it and it nearly works, but I only get the first Tool of its category. So for instance if I set RotKey to L for RULER_SEMI_CIRCLE it always goes to the straight ruler instead. Same if I set all the rulers to L. Do I have to change something else in the spreadsheet to make it rotate the tools?

Ah, I think I removed the rotate tools functionality as it was too confusing jumping between different tools. For now just set a different key to each key you use.

I can see where the radial menu would be better, with a single keypress pulling up a selection of useful tools at once.

Unfortunately that still doesn't work - different Shortcuts just jump to the first in the category (e.g. straight ruler)

Yeah, radial menus for the main tools would be really great! I mean I absolutely can live with going to the left panel to switch tools but pie menus would make workflow much smoother.

Many thanks for looking into this!

That is strange behaviour - I'll try to fix the shortcut keys for the rulers.

I've found out why that doesn't work, all the rullers shared the same ToolID in that column. Changing them to this fixes the shortcut rotation

CRule
CRule1
CRule2
CRule3
CRule4
CRule5
CRule6
CRule7

This will be in the next build (I've added you to the beta forum so you can see when a new build is ready)
