I made a single sucker with a Lathe. Then made a Proxy Array to make 64 suckers getting smaller and smaller in a line. Copied and Mirror Pasted to make 2 rows of suckers. Then the bulk of the tentacle is a Line object with a small Radius B. Flattened the tentacle on one side with Mesh/Deform/Trim Surface. Joined all the parts together to make a single Tentacle. Then Used Brush Strokes to make a twisted curled tentacle - with a special interest in "Initial Twist" and "Twist Along" to get the twists in the right direction for each copy of the tentacle.
