Making complicated object out of simple parts is an easy way to model. In Curvy 2 you can now merge those parts together to make seamless models.

This teapot is made from 4 drawn curves and an inflated BMP for the handle.

The handle has been merged into the teapot body to make it look more natural.

Here is the teapot before the merge - there is a sharp seam where the handle and body overlap.

I used a good photo reference loaded as a backdrop - then used the draw details tool to redraw little bits of the curves to touch it up and make the shapes more precisely.

captaindrewi - This merge feature is a Curvy2 exclusive. I've uploaded the tutorial on how to do something similar in Curvy 1.5 - but for the real deal the only thing is to wait for Curvy2 or export it and use booleans in some other 3D software.
