Instruction and actuall Videos for Curvy3D 4.0

Post by doehlma »

Hello all,

I bought yesterday Curvy3D 4.0 Version and therby I´m newbie :-)

When I looked through the Community I detected most of articles little bit old (don´t understand me wrong)

Is from your side (Simon) planned to create actual Instructions and Videos on base of 4.0 ??

Best regards
Marcus

Yes, I do plan to make more tutorials and videos for 4.0. I appreciate they are mostly for 3.0 at the moment.

If there is anything specific you would like to see in a tutorial, do ask.

I would love to see a video on creating a model of a vehicle (preferably car or truck) with Curvy3D. Your last video on a spaceship was very disappointing and very awkward to follow. With the 4 viewports being active it was difficult to know which viewport to watch. Also your space ship is not what I would consider hard surface vehicle.

I had a go making a truck in Curvy. I made very slow progress using Slice by Curve to cut out each area of detail like the windows, bumper and lights - then thickening each part. Overall the car body is a tricky shape to make in Curvy.

For research I looked up some other tutorials on cars and found this one. Several hours of modelling in Blender - mesh modelling gives you tight control over the shape of the mechanical parts and bodywork, and is much more suitable for the job than Curvy.
